We collect the minimum needed to run the free tools and deliver what you ask for. No ad trackers, no data sales, no third-party cookies.
Who runs this site
GEO/AEO Playbooks (geoplaybooks.com) is run by its founder, Mikhail Kuzmitskii. For any privacy question or request, use the contact form.
What we store, and when
- Free AI-visibility checker. The domain you enter and the scores we measure. Results are public: each checked domain gets a shareable result page, and scores feed our aggregate studies. Only enter domains, never personal data.
- Email-gated reports and audit requests. Your email, the domain, the tier and any note you add, so we can send the report or reply to the request. Leads who don't buy may get at most two short follow-up emails (one per flow).
- Email course, weekly digest and Watchdog alerts. Your email and subscription status. The course and Watchdog use double opt-in, and every email carries an unsubscribe link.
- Paid audits and Monitor. Your email, domain, order ID and payment status, plus the reports we generate for you. Private report links are unguessable tokens.
- Comments. The name and text you submit are published once approved.
Processors that see your data
- Cloudflare hosts the site, its database and file storage, and sends transactional email. It also provides Turnstile (bot protection on forms) and Web Analytics (cookieless, no cross-site tracking).
- Resend delivers course, digest and follow-up emails.
- NOWPayments processes crypto payments. We receive the payment status and order ID, never your wallet keys.
- Perplexity and OpenRouter receive the category prompts we sample for Monitor share-of-voice reports and lab notes. Those prompts name brands and domains, not you.
Cookies
One first-party cookie stores your light/dark theme choice. CMS admin sessions use login cookies for editors only. There are no advertising or cross-site cookies.
Retention and your rights
We keep your data while it serves the purpose you gave it for. You can ask to see, correct or delete it at any time through the contact form, and we act on requests within 30 days. Unsubscribing from any email list takes effect immediately.
Changes
When the list of processors or stored fields changes, this page changes first and its date moves.
